Finally A winner in Linux Arena – Ubuntu

Whether or not all those die hard Linux geeks out there accept it but Ubuntu has emerged out as the final winner that too with huge margin (nearly 30% of linux desktops are running Ubuntu).

Programming – A hacker’s perspective

To me programming is more of an art than a techinal job. Like a plain white canvas the editor(well not always, editors like Emacs are sometimes considered a full blown OS in themselves…Surprised) gives you a God like creation ability to create something new or some times add more to the existing masterpieces of code. So, in my view I am a sort of hacker .

Open Source Software and India

There are two ways to define this OSS or open source Software. One purely technical, well suited for all those developers cum lawyers cum historians. Other, in layman or hobbyist or KISS way, the way in which we Indians generally like it.

Open Gen Parser

This project is aimed at collecting genetic data(ref,organism type, amino acid sequence etc.) and convert them to universal fasta format for further processing. Presently it supports DEG database (http://tubic.tju.edu.cn/deg/) used extensively for genetic research.
